These are the Ulysses
Garden Route bikers that have a little more responsibility than the
others, or as otherwise known, "Leaders of the Pack".
They are just UGLY
BUGGERS (well some of them are), with a passion for giving back to biking some of the pleasure that biking
has given to them. It's an unpaid thankless job, but it's done in good
spirit and with love in their hearts.

Chairman:
Mike Wilbraham alias "Chairman Plompie" (Sedgefield)
Mike
is responsible for everything - even when he is not responsible. He earned
the respect of the club members as chief of security at the 2009 Whale
Rally and did the job so well that we made him Chairman.
Mike is the diplomat who leads by example. Its a known fact that he takes
no nonsense (this has been proved) and knows exactly where the line
between right and wrong is found.
He has this unique way of sending you to hell is such a way that you look
forward to the journey - know what I mean? |

Vice
Chairman: Bertus Croukamp alias "Mr B" (Mossel Bay)
The
silent gentleman who should never be underestimated ~ "Stille water, diepe grond, onder dans die duiwel
rond". He takes his job very
seriously and likes things to be done right.
He does the event planning and is the chief rally co-ordinator. Yes,
he is most certainly capable of standing in Mike's shoes....and wait that's
not all.....here is another moon howling member!

Secretary:
Beverley
Boshoff alias "Bev" (Mossel Bay)
Beverley works hard at making sure "dat almal verstaan vir wat",
often reminding people to FOCUS!!!!!

Treasurer:
Magda Vermaak alias "Mags" (Mossel Bay)
Magda
is the girl that keeps the books and makes everything balance. This is no
minor task, especially at the rally site! Rally treasurers have to have
nerves of steel and a very calm personality. Fortunately Magda has these
qualities in abundance. Some of us firmly believe that her alias should
be "Queen Bee".....stick around we need to vote first.

Road
Captain: Eddie Boshoff alias "RSM" (Mossel Bay)
An RSM in his heyday and now the Road Captain of Ulysses Garden Route.
Eddie gives it all. He specializes in organizing, loves riding his big
noisy cruiser and can tell stories that keep you spellbound! I have heard
some say he is the Sergeant Major with a small heart, or was that soft heart?
Eddie takes his duties very seriously. First thing he did when he was
appointed was to scour the Internet for all the information he could find
about the duties of a Road Captain. Now that's a biker taking his
duties seriously! |
